If we could first know where we are, and whither we are tending, we could then better judge what to do, and how to do it.

No matter which method you use to optimize processes - you will always need an ACTUAL ANALYSIS first. We often use the DMAIC cycle from Six Sigma for this. Your employees have to concentrate on their operational activities, and they are the experts in this. However, in order to be able to participate in a CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT, they need simple support tools.
As a core element, we must DEFINE (D) what exactly should be the focus of improvement. But then we will first MEASURE (M) and ANALYSIZE (A). So-called KPIs, i.e. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS, help to draw the right conclusions. Often you think you know exactly what the solution looks like right from the start, but then you find interesting results when collecting and evaluating data.
Finally, meaningful measures can be derived and IMPLEMENTED (I). After all, their implementation and effectiveness must also be CONTROLLED (C).
Of course the consultants of Cornfield's Consulting could do all this on their own. In order for your employees to understand why the changes are necessary and to drive them forward when we are not in your company, we try to train your employees and accompany them in their own projects.
